Earthquake of 5.0 magnitude struck Los Angeles area

An earthquake of magnitude 5.0 rattled Los Angeles area on Sunday. There were no immediate reports of any casualties.
The U.S. Geological Survey has said that the epicentre of the earthquake was near the community of Lennox, about 10 miles southwest of downtown Los Angeles and it was measured 8.4 miles deep.

Veteran filmmaker Prakash Mehra passes away

Prakash Mehra, Bollywood filmmaker passed away on Sunday morning after a prolonged illness. He was 69 years old. Mehra of pneumonia and multiple organ failure at the Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital.

PHRO demands independent probe into Bathinda election violence
