Two die in protests in Karnataka against Taslima Nasreen’s article, Curfew imposed in Shimoga

Shivendra Singh of Indian Hockey team has been suspended for three matches for hitting Pakistan’s Fareed Ahmed at the men’s field hockey World Cup.

IIT-Roorkee student arrested for the murder of Delhi girl Pragati Tibberwal

The Shimla Police has on Sunday arrested Gaurav Verma, a student of IIT-Roorkee, for the murder of IIT-Delhi girl Pragati Tibberwal. The police said after the murder, Verma – who is from Manikapur in Gonda, Uttar Pradesh – had attempted suicide twice.
