Asst director held for chain-snatching

V Geetha, 32 years old, a resident of Rail Nagar in Thirumangalam, was returning home after buying groceries from a supermarket nearby when she was waylaid by the two men on a two-wheeler. One of them who came behind her obstructed her path and snatched the chain. Maintaining her cool, Geetha held on to the man tightly and cried out for help. The man failed to come out of her grasp. Passersby and police personnel on night rounds soon caught him.
Based on information provided by him, police teams nabbed the other accused, the assistant film director who was part of a film crew in T Nagar. The two were involved in many cases of crime in the city.
