Earthquake struck Pune, Mumbai and parts of Maharashtra

There are no reports of any damages or casualties. The earthquake has the epicentre in Koyna region of western Maharashtra. The quake jolted Western Maharashtra at 6:34 PM today.
Tremors were felt in several areas of Mumbai, Satara, Kolhapur and Pune. The jolt was also recorded at Belgaum in north Karnataka. The earthquake occurred just a few days after Cyclone Phyan threatened Mumbai and some areas of Maharashtra, but fizzled out without causing any trouble.
