elebrity fashion designer Anand Jon was sentenced to 59 years in prison by Los Angeles Superior Court Judge David Wesley. Anand was accused of sexually assaulting aspiring models in the age group of 14-20. The 35-year-old Anand Jon had the credit of designing dresses for famous celebrities Paris Hilton and Janet Jackson.

Anand Jon was found guilty of 16 counts of charges, including rape, sexual molestation and performing lewd acts on a child. Jon reportedly started the crimes in 2001, after setting up a fashion design business. The police intervened in March 2007, after a woman complained of sexual assault.

Anand Jon was born in India, but settled in the US. He featured on the 2003 TV show, “America’s Next Top Model” and was also selected as one of the ‘Most Successful Sough Asians” by Newsweek magazine in 2004.
