Harvard University has taken top spot in America’s best universities in the influential US News & World Report college rankings.

According to the US News rankings, this year only a single point out of 100 separated Harvard and second-placed Princeton, with Harvard taking the gold medal thanks to its superior student graduation rates, financial resources and staff.

Yale university has been ranked as third best university while Columbia has been ranked as the fourth best university of America. Stanford and University of Pennsylvania took the fifth place.
