Magnitude 6.4 earthquake struck Taiwan

An earthquake of magnitude 6.4 struck Taiwan, the US Geological Survey reported on Wednesday.
It said the quake, initially reported as a magnitude 6.5, was 35 kms deep. The epicenter of this earthquake was around 33 kms northwest of T’ai-tung. The quake struck at around 8:18 a.m. (0018 GMT) on Thursday.
