WB approves Rs 1500 cr Punjab State Road Sector project

Punjab Public Works Minister Parminder Singh Dhindsa said with the assistance of World Bank the upgradation of Kharar-Banur-Tepla and Ludhiana-Malerkotla-Sangrur road would be completed by April this year.

4 students among five killed in road mishaps

Four students among Five were killed in three different road mishaps.
Three 10th class students of Akal Akdemy, Balbehra, who were on a motorcycle, were hit by a truck on Patiala-Cheeka road.
The victims, identified as Harinder Singh (18), Gurtej Singh(17) and Pamul Goyal (18), were killed on the spot.

Building collapses in Ahmedabad

A five-storeyed underconstruction building fall down suddenly and some persons are feared trapped in the debris, fire brigade officials said.
The incident took place in Kalupur area. Two adjacent buildings have suffered damage due to the collapse, they said, adding rescue operation was on.
