Pappu Yadav, former Rashtriya Janata Dal MP, has been arrested on Sunday, ten days after he went missing following the Supreme Court’s confirmation of its order canceling his bail in a 12-year-old murder case.

The CBI and Gurgaon police nabbed him from a private hospital in a joint operation. A CBI official said that Yadav had admitted himself at Gurgaon’s Artemis hospital to get treatment for his alleged ailments 24 hours before his eventual arrest.

Yadav was produced in a Gurgaon court on Monday that granted transit remand for producing him before the CBI court in Patna.
