Rajdhani Express mows down two in Orissa, two others critical
Nov 8th, 2009 | By admin | Category: Breaking News, India News, States NewsAt least two persons have been killed and many critically injured after being hit by the New Delhi-Bhubaneswar Rajdhani Express in Orissa’s Jajpur district on Sunday, making it the fifth incident in eight days which together claimed 33 lives in various parts of the country.
The mishap occurred near Jajpur Road level crossing when they were crossing the railway tracks. Though deceased were yet to be identified, they were believed to be daily laborers, official sources said.
The injured were admitted to nearby Jajpur Road Area Hospital. “The condition of the two is critical,” Nishikanta Kar, additional district medical officer, Jajpur, said.
