Shibu Soren’s son Durga Soren passes away
May 21st, 2009 | Category: Breaking News, India NewsJMM Leader Shibu Soren’s son Durga Soren passed away this morning following a kidney failure at the latter’s Sector 1-C residence in the Bokaro. He fell ill last night after the urea level increased in his body. He was immediately rushed to a nearby hospital. He was 39 years old.
Durga, who had done his schooling from Dumka and graduation from Chas college, was elected MLA for the first time in 1995 and then again in 2000. However, he lost the seat in 2005. In 2009, he made an abortive attempt to grab the Godda seat even as the UPA had already fielded a Congress candidate there.
