Shoe hurled at PM Manmohan Singh during Rally
Apr 26th, 2009 | Category: Breaking News, India NewsA man on Sunday hurled shoe at the Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh during an election rally in Ahmedabad. The shoe missed PM and landed at least 20-ft away from Manmohan Singh. The person was immediately taken to custody.
The man, who hurled the shoe at PM, was sitting on the first row and tried to throw the shoe at the Prime Minister without any provocation. The person was identified as 21 years old Hitesh Chauhan. Chauhan is a resident of Bapunagar and is pursuing a computer course in a local engineering college.
Later Hitesh admitted that he did this for a cheap publicity. PM Dr. Singh has forgive him and asked the police not to press any charges against him.
