“Slumdog Millionaire” actor Ajit Pandey arrested by Crime Branch

Pandey has been accused of threatening Pramod Kapoor, the owner of a film production company.
Posing as a relative of Chhota Shakeel-Irfan Husry (a fictitious character)-he told Kapoor that the latter should either give him meaty roles in films or pay Rs 20 lakh. Pandey was remanded in police custody till June 27.
Earlier, Kapoor lodged a police complaint saying he was receiving threat calls from Shakeel’s “kin” Husry.
