Two Bangalore youths drown in sea

swimming.
Nilaisingh Chauhan (23) and Dharan (22), part of a five member team from Bangalore who had come in Puducherry on a weekend sightseeing trip, drowned as the sea was rough and its backwaters flowing across Veerampattinam was in spate, official sources said.
Puducherry recorded 44.9 cm rainfall since the onset of current north east monsoon on October 27. District Collector G Ragesh Chandra in a release asked people living in low lying areas to move to safer places as water inundation would be intense under the impact of the monsoon rains.
