At least three people have been killed when lightning struck them as unseasonal rains lashed the Aurangabad and Marathwada region of Maharashtra, uprooting a number of trees that blocked the main roads, leading to traffic snarls this evening.

Reports of unseasonal rains were also received from Nanded, Parbhani and Hingoli districts of Marathwada.
