WB approves Rs 1500 cr Punjab State Road Sector project
Jan 29th, 2011 | Category: Punjab NewsPunjab Public Works Minister Parminder Singh Dhindsa said with the assistance of World Bank the upgradation of Kharar-Banur-Tepla and Ludhiana-Malerkotla-Sangrur road would be completed by April this year.
Mr Dhindsa said the World Bank had approved Punjab State Road Sector Project (PSRSP) at a cost of Rs 1500 crore. This project was the largest ever road sector project undertaken in the state in which 900 KM of roads should be improved in a phased manner. During the first phase about 150 km of upgradation, 200 km of rehabilitation and 350 km of periodic maintenance at a cost of Rs 700 crore had already been completed, he added.
